About the event

When things arent going well in our careers we are quick to think of ourselves as inherently not good enough or worthy of success. It can be hard to recognize that anxiety, depression, OCD tendencies or ADHD styles might be interfering with our efforts. Even if we recognize those mental health experiences in other areas of our lives, we tend to compartmentalize. We might think, "I'm anxious and that's why I dont want to hang out with friends", but that same person might think, "I'm bad at giving talks at work because Im not smart enough". There is a common belief that taking medications or getting support for mental health means Im somehow broken and even more unworthy of success.

The reality is that considering medications as part of my wholistic self care, means thinking of all the parts of our lives. Medications can absolutely allow someone the relief from anxiety, depression or other symptoms that they need so that they can actually experience their full potential, utilize their own strengths and optimize their work lives. There are so many myths about medications out there that can sway us one way or another. We need to make good informed decisions about whether medications might be right for us.

Julia Epstein is one of Her Table's trusted voices when it comes to supporting our clients in making decisions about whether medications are right for them. She is here to help us wade through the myths, so that we can feel informed and supported in deciding whether or not medications are right as we consider our whole selves in our path of leveling up.
